A PEN'S LIFE

Happy New Year Everyone!!

I hope you all have a great year ahead :)

As a  student in India we write a lot, and hardly use gadgets in school. This means we use a lot of stationery, especially pens like gel pens, ball point pens. Basically pens that can't be reused.

I myself use ball point pens.. I am slowly trying to use ink/fountain pens.

My mom has used  a Lamy fountain  pen for the last 15 years and even before that she has always used an ink pen cause she says it makes her handwriting better. My dad also uses one too.
As you  can see in the pictures, my mom's pen isn't sustainable. She needs to use plastic cartridges every time the ink runs out.

But here's another pen bought by my parents for me on my birthday.

This IS a sustainable pen. Whenever the ink runs out I  refill it straight from the ink bottle. Yes, it's a bit inconvenient because it leaks if you don't clean it properly. I  hope that this will motivate all of my readers to switch to ink/fountain pens if they haven't started using them.

Do any of you use fountain pens? What do you do with the ball point/sketch/felt/marker/glitter pens once the ink runs out? I'd love to know!

Happy New Year again!!!!
Thank you!

  2. When we were at school we used to write with fountain pens (ink pens). This required some maintenance, but handwritings were beautiful! Regret using ball point pens these days!

  4. Hi Meera! It's Ananya here. Reading your article, I realised I should start using ink pens before buying a gel pen. My mum just got me a refillable fountain pen. Thanks to you, I hope I continue using it and reduce the use of plastic. Keep writing 😁
